The cabinet adopted the Decree on the Establishment of the Programme for Financing Projects of Public Interest Implemented by Associations from the Territories of Extremely Underdeveloped Municipalities (Local Self-Government Units from the Fourth Group) in 2026, for which funds in the amount of RSD 25,000,000 have been allocated.
The Government adopted the Conclusion on establishing the basis for concluding a Memorandum of Understanding on facilitating the exchange of information regarding the Đerdap 3 project, between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Romania, in order to enable assessments of the possible development and construction of this pumped-storage hydropower plant on the territory of Serbia.
The conclusion of the Memorandum represents a continuation of the successful cooperation between Serbia and Romania in the field of energy and contributes to the further strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of common interest.
The session also adopted the Action Plan for the period from 2026 to 2028 for the implementation of the Youth Strategy in the Republic of Serbia in the period from 2023 to 2030.
The government members agreed to undertake the necessary activities for the organisation of the “Serbia is Calling You” event, which will be held from 1 to 11 August 2026 in Belgrade, with the aim of jointly advancing sports and youth cooperation between Serbian children from the region and the diaspora.
During the event, Belgrade will be visited by children from the United States, Canada, Austria, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, France, Cyprus, Ukraine, Australia, Greece, and Luxembourg, as well as from the region, including from Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., Republika Srpska, Hungary, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
