The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted at its today’s session the Bill on Integrated Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution, which improves the environmental protection system and harmonises domestic legislation with EU regulations.

Legal solutions proposed for higher level of environmental protection

The new legal solutions provide for the simplification and digitalisation of the integrated permit issuance procedure, strengthening inspection supervision, greater transparency and public participation.
A more efficient industrial pollution control system is being introduced, based on the application of the best available techniques and modern environmental protection standards.
The Government also adopted the Decision on the establishment of the Coordination Body for Monitoring the Implementation of the Action Plan for the Exercise of the Rights of National Minorities for the Period from 2026 to 2029, which aims to more effectively coordinate, monitor and improve the implementation of the measures envisaged by the plan, with the participation of representatives of competent state bodies, independent institutions and national councils of national minorities.
Members of the Government adopted the Conclusion on the Adoption of the Migration Profile of the Republic of Serbia for 2025, which is a key document for monitoring migration flows and creating policies in the field of migration management.
The document consolidates data from several state administration bodies and provides a comprehensive analysis of migration trends in the Republic of Serbia during 2025.
The adoption of the Migration Profile provides a reliable basis for planning and implementing migration policy measures.
