Funds in the total amount of RSD 45,000,000 will be allocated for infrastructure projects, solving the problems of individual and group septic tanks that are mostly water permeable and pose a threat to soil pollution and surface and underground watercourses, then for the establishment of a network of local associations such as the association of women, producers of honey, cheese and the like, maintenance and participation in fairs, formation and promotion of ethnic theme parks and promotion of tourism.
The local governments whose territory includes national parks and protected areas declared by an act of the Serbian government are eligible to apply for incentives.
Government members adopted the Regulation on the temporary measure of limiting the price of gas and compensating the difference in the price of natural gas procured from imports or produced in the Republic of Serbia in the event of a disruption in the natural gas market.
The Regulation specifies that the increase in the price of natural gas up to a maximum of 10 percent compared to existing prices will not affect macroeconomic stability, importers and producers of natural gas, but will affect end consumers, considering that for them the purchase price of natural gas will be increased to a maximum of 10 percent.
In order to prevent major disruptions and preserve the living standards of the population and bearing in mind that the market is still unstable, the government adopted the Regulation on the amendment of the Regulation on limiting the price of petroleum products, which limited the prices of petroleum products until 31 May 2023.
Also, the government passed an amended Regulation on limiting the price of basic foodstuffs in order to protect the market, that is, to prevent instability in the formation of commodity prices, which are extremely important for the supply of consumers, especially the underprivileged.
The grain market, primarily of wheat, and thus of flour too, is still not stable and further intervention in price formation is necessary from 31 May 2023.
The Serbian government adopted the Decision on the establishment of a Working Group for the preparation of the starting points for the mutual recognition of professional qualifications in the Western Balkans region, with the aim of supporting the Activities from the Action Plan for the establishment of a Common Regional Market for the period from 2021 to 2024 (which was adopted within the framework of the Western Balkan Leaders' Summit in Sofia on 10 November 2020), which include the mutual recognition of academic and professional qualifications on the territory of the Western Balkans, within the Mini Schengen initiative, in order to facilitate the movement of people, i.e. qualified workforce.
At today's session, the Serbian government also adopted the Regulation on the issuance of a surcharge postage stamp "Red Cross Week", in order to provide funds for the realisation of an action of wider social importance, i.e. the Programme "Efficient response to accidents - strengthening the capacity of the Red Cross to act in accidents - the year 2023".
The surcharge stamp of RSD 10 will be printed in a circulation of 750,000 pieces for letters weighing up to 20 grams in the period from 8 to 15 May, when the Red Cross of Serbia celebrates the special event "RED CROSS WEEK".
Government members adopted a Conclusion by which it was decided that the government of Serbia, together with Republika Srpska, will build two memorial centres dedicated to the victims of Jasenovac.
It was proposed that the memorial centres be built in Donja Gradina, as the place of suffering where the execution and abuse of detainees and prisoners of the Jasenovac camp took place, and in Belgrade, as the capital of the Republic of Serbia, which would ensure a permanent memory of the victims of genocide and suffering in the Second World War.
