Deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia elected Vladimir Orlic as Speaker of the Parliament last night, for whom 154 of the 230 deputies voted, while 76 deputies voted against.

Deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia elected Vladimir Orlic as Speaker of the Parliament last night, for whom 154 of the 230 deputies voted, while 76 deputies voted against.
Deputies also elected seven vice-chairs and the general secretary of the Assembly of Serbia.
The vice-chairs will be Sandra Bozic from the Serbian Progressive Party, Snezana Paunovic from the Socialist Party of Serbia, Evira Kovac from the Union of Vojvodina Hungarians, Usame Zukorlic from the Justice and Reconciliation Party, Bozidar Delic from the NADA coalition, Borko Stefanovic from the Freedom and Justice Party and president of the Democratic Party Zoran Lutovac.
Srdjan Smiljanic was appointed as the general secretary of the parliament.
With the election of members and their deputies in parliamentary committees, members of permanent parliamentary delegations in international institutions, as well as the makeup of the Parliamentary Committee for Stabilisation and Association, 15 minutes after midnight, the constitutive session of the new convocation of the Parliament of Serbia ended.
After the session, which lasted more than 15 hours yesterday, three board sessions were held.
Milenko Jovanov was elected president of the Committee for Administrative-Budgetary and Mandate-Immunity Issues, and Zivota Starcevic as his deputy, while Jelena Zaric Kovacevic remained at the head of the Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Legislation, and her deputy will be Pavle Grbovic.
Vladimir Djukanovic will continue to be president of the Committee for Justice, State Administration and Local Self-Government, and Jelena Jerinic was elected as his deputy.
