The award for the best exporter in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises has been won by the firm “Mikronas Nit” from Novi Sad. In the category of the best export product, the award went to “Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor”, while the company “Nektar” received the award in the category of winning of new markets.
Speaking at the awards ceremony held at the Belgrade city assembly, Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic said that this year was marked by the expansion of exports, and added that that is the biggest success of the Serbian government’s economic policy in 2005.
Dinkic said that the Serbian government planned for an increase of 25 percent in exports this year compared with the last, but that figure has been surpassed, since exports in the first ten months of this year have increased by 35 percent. He added that the largest surplus has been seen in the export of agricultural products.
The awards ceremony was also attended by the Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivana-Dulic-Markovic, Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo, domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
