Fourth International Entrepreneurship Fair opens

Director of the Serbian Agency for SMEs Development Mirjana Jovanovic opened today at the Belgrade Fairgrounds the Fourth International Entrepreneurship Fair themed “Business Base 2005”. This year’s fair hosts 270 exhibitors.

Speaking on the occasion, Jovanovic stressed the importance of the event in the promotion of entrepreneurship and added that the setting up of new businesses and creation of new jobs represent the real indicators of social growth.
Serbian National Employment Service Director Radovan Ristanovic said that this service, with its network of 17 business centres throughout the country, is poised to take an active role in entrepreneurship development and offer all the necessary information in this process. He added that all current and future entrepreneurs can receive information within 48 hours of a request.
A number of expert gatherings will be organised at the event, which will last until December 3. The purpose of this event is to aide in the setting up of new businesses and in the reduction of the unemployment rate.
Exhibitors include the American USAID, which is currently financing projects in 25 enterprises, numerous domestic institutions, research organisations and the Serbian Association of Inventors.
