The Office of the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Serbia-Montenegro has assessed that the adoption of several laws by the Serbian parliament is an important step towards completing the sixth revision of the prolonged arrangement with the IMF.
The adoption of the budget for 2006 and laws in the health sector are important steps towards improving fiscal viability and public expenditure, reads the statement by the Office of the Resident Representative of IMF in Serbia-Montenegro.
In the upcoming period the IMF will closely cooperate with the Serbian government in work concerning the sixth revision, reads the statement.
