Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic stated that Pristina refused in Brussels today to take part in direct talks with the delegation of Belgrade about the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).
Whether you have a question, comment, suggestion or any problem falling within the competence of the Government, send us your message and we will try to respond as soon as possible. If your problem does not fall within our competence, we will forward your message to the competent institution.
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic stated that Pristina refused in Brussels today to take part in direct talks with the delegation of Belgrade about the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).
In a statement to Radio Television of Serbia, Petkovic said that ZSO was the topic of today’s talks in Brussels, just as Special Representative of the EU for Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak announced in a statement from 30 September.
Pristina is the one refusing talks on the formation of ZSO, although our side insisted very directly on its formation and outlined concrete steps to that end, he said.
According to Petkovic, this question is the essence of the dialogue and if we want to talk about the normalisation of relations we can do that only and exclusively if ZSO is formed, and if all previously reached agreements are implemented.
He reiterated that Belgrade always responds to calls from Brussels and that it is always ready to talk, whereas Pristina does everything to undermine the dialogue.
Petkovic underlined that Belgrade took part in the dialogue even today, and the fact that there was no trilateral meeting is because Pristina refuses to take part in such a format.
