European award for technological solutions in banking goes to Serbian Clearing House

Representatives of the Association of Banks in Serbia stated at a press conference that the Serbian Clearing House has won the 2005 European award for technological solutions in banking, in the category of the best solution in clearing and settlement systems.
An expert team of the E-Business Sector at Saga Technologies finished the project in record time and implemented it in the Microsoft platform. The project was composed at the request and for the needs of the Association of Banks in Serbia.
The project was one among many state-of-the-art technological solutions submitted by financial institutions such as the BNP Paribas Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC Bank, the Citigroup Private Bank, Commerzbank, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, Piraeus Bank, Societe Generale, Visa Europe and others.
Banking Technology Magazine, the sole authority on financial systems worldwide, has been giving this prestigious European award for the best technological solutions in banking for six years already.
The jury comprised the most renowned experts from European financial institutions: JP Morgan Chase, McKinsey & Company, Lepus Management Consultancy, the Royal Bank of Scotland, BNP Paribas Bank and Voca.
The Association of Banks in Serbia is among well-known European banks and winners in other categories, for example the Citigroup, HSBC Bank, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank and others.
This award confirms that when it comes to applying new information technologies, the Serbian banking is keeping pace with the European trends, and the Serbian solutions, based on the latest world technologies, are sometimes even more advanced and efficient than those proposed by other countries.
