Top officials of Serbia-Montenegro endorsed tonight the principles that Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica presented at the UN’s Security Council session on Kosovo-Metohija, which rest on the principles of international law, especially on the principle of inviolability of sovereignty and territorial integrity of democratic states.
Present at the meeting in Belgrade, called by Serbia-Montenegrin President Svetozar Marovic, were Serbian President Boris Tadic, Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic, and Serbian and Montenegrin prime ministers Vojislav Kostunica and Milo Djukanovic, respectively.
In a statement issued by the cabinet of the Serbia-Montenegrin president, it is said that Kostunica briefed participants of the meeting on his participation at the UN Security Council session on Kosovo-Metohija.
At the meeting the conclusion was reached that in the forthcoming negotiating process on Kosovo-Metohija, a compromise that excludes imposed solutions should be sought.
