Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic and Rasim Ljajic, who is the Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Human Rights and Minorities and Head of the Coordinating Centre for Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, met today with the presidents of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja municipalities Riza Halimi, Nagip Arifi and Slobodan Draskovic respectively, discussing the efforts to include ethnic-Albanians in legal institutions in the south of Serbia.

Stojkovic informed his interlocutors, who are members of the Coordinating Centre, that the Ministry of Justice has suggested a range of activities concerning the appointment of judges and hiring staff of Albanian ethnicity in all legal institutions in the south of Serbia, the introduction of bilingual court procedures, as well as the improvement of working conditions and effectiveness of judicial organs.
In a statement of the Ministry of Justice, it is said that the participants of today’s talks reached an agreement on all future activities, which will be performed within a short period.
