Krusevac receives donation towards modernisation of heating plant

Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar and President of the Krusevac Municipality Dragan Azdejkovic signed today an agreement on a €1.2 million donation from the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) for the reconstruction and expansion of the central heating system in Krusevac.

Following the signing of the agreement, Loncar said that the Serbian government accepted the Krusevac heating plant modernisation project in a deal worth €3 million, part of which has been secured by EAR.
Following the release of this donation, Azdejkovic said that a tender will be called and contractors elected. With this investment, 7,000 additional houses will be hooked into the Krusevac heating plant network.
Loncar said that the government also accepted projects reconstructing a water plant and constructing a waste waters purification plant in Majdevo, with a total value of €25 million. That project will be financed by a French partner with the support of French government. The realisation of these projects should begin next year.
