State Secretary for Capital Investment Dragana Curcic told the Tanjug news agency that on the road from Gnjilane to Pristina, a car with Albanian licence plates overtook the car carrying the Serbian government delegation members and thus provoked a minor car accident, after which the delegation members decided to return to Belgrade.
Curcic said that UNMIK did not provide adequate escort to the Serbian delegation, as previously agreed, rather sending a van without rotation lights and two inadequately equipped soldiers who did not know where the meeting was to be held and where they should take the delegation members.
Curcic said that they did not experience any unpleasantness, but decided to return and not attend the meeting since they received utterly inadequate treatment as representatives of the Serbian government.
According to Curcic, the Serbian delegation consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Capital Investment and the Coordinating Centre, and they were to hold talks with the representatives of the Kosovo-Metohija government on simplifying the transport of goods and services on the roads between Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija.
Curcic said that the meeting of the Working Group, which has been formed within the framework of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, has been postponed until adequate conditions are achieved.
