In the statement issued by the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija, it is pointed out that Rupel found the issue of Kosovo-Metohija’s future delicate, adding that no solution will be imposed on the province in the process of negotiations.
Raskovic-Ivic informed Rupel that members of the negotiating team from Belgrade will be appointed after the Security Council session at which the negotiating sides are to formally present their positions about the beginning of talks.
She said that while resolving the status issue, the number of displaced Serbs and non-ethnic Albanians must be taken into consideration, adding that negotiating sides need to show the maturity needed for compromise and confrontation at the negotiating table.
