Slobodan Vuksanovic
Vuksanovic pointed out that quality text books have been provided on time, expanded classes formed in schools with students of mixed nationalities, and Roma students allowed to enter university and settle into student residencies through a facilitated and speedy procedure.
Syllabi are adapted to the needs of ethnic communities, the language of instruction is their mother tongue, and school timetables and holidays adjusted with their religious calendars, said Vuksanovic.
In Vojvodina, Raska, Bujanovac, Presevo and Dimitrovgrad children from ethnic communities receive education at the highest international standards.
“We have received recognition for our work from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Council of Europe and UNESCO, and representatives of national minorities have recently officially stated that a new age in Serbia’s relation to its ethnic communities has begun”, reads Vuksanovic’s statement.
