Continuing work on strengthening Serbia’s international position

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that in the year behind us, it continued to work, with all its capacities, to strengthen the international position of the Republic of Serbia and its reputation in the world.

The statement states that during this year, the Ministry worked to improve bilateral and multilateral cooperation, implementing a balanced foreign policy and consistently protecting national and state interests.

Despite complex global circumstances, Serbia has remained committed to actively shaping its foreign policy position, with a special focus on building new and preserving existing partnerships and friendships, as well as establishing, maintaining and developing political dialogue at the high and highest levels, active participation in the work of international organisations, as well as promoting peace, stability and respect for the principles of international law.

Significant efforts have been invested in the further development of economic diplomacy, improving the work and efficiency of the diplomatic and consular network, as well as strengthening support for our diaspora in the region and around the world.

Guided by the vision and clearly set goals of the highest state leadership, Serbian diplomats have put their knowledge and experience at the service of preserving and improving the image of the Republic of Serbia in international frameworks, and achieving a better future for all of us, with a high degree of professional engagement, responsibility and dedication.

Their work on all meridians, often in demanding and challenging circumstances, as well as in conditions of high risk, is of crucial importance for the continuity of diplomatic activities, presenting the positions of our country and protecting the most important national interests.

We enter the next year with the message that the Republic of Serbia is a reliable partner and sincere friend, committed to peace, dialogue and international cooperation, the statement reads.
