EU Ambassadors approve launch of talks with Serbia-Montenegro

Christina Gallach, spokesperson for EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, has said that the ambassadors of the EU countries have given a green light for the launch of talks on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement with Serbia-Montenegro.

A formal approval will be given by the EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on October 3, Gallach told Tanjug today.
According to Gallach, the EU sees no more obstacles to the approval by the foreign ministers, noting that Solana has informed Serbia-Montenegrin President Svetozar Marovic about this during last night’s dinner in Brussels.
