Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Ivanovic and Romanian Minister of Economy and Commerce Ioan-Codrut Seres signed today in Bucharest an agreement on repair, modernisation and enhancement of installed capacity of the Djerdap 2 hydroelectric plant.
In a statement to the Beta news agency, Ivanovic said that the agreement will add up to a better use of the hydro-energetic capacity of Djerdap 2, and will help create a reliable, developed and stable regional energy source.
He also pointed out the necessity of continuing the cooperation in energy transfer with the aim of establishing a quality regional energy market.
Ivanovic said he also talked with Seres on the improvement of economic relations between the countries, especially in the energy, transport, chemical industry and tourism sectors.
