Prime Minister Ana Brnabic participated today in the opening of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), which is a global platform for accelerating sustainable development worldwide.
Brnabic underlined that participation in this important gathering, which will showcase the highest achievements in technology, energy, health, education, artificial intelligence and other fields, is a confirmation of excellent relations and close partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The United Arab Emirates is the country leading the development of science and technology in the world today, especially the green economy, she said.
The Prime Minister noted that she had a very good conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who on that occasion sent greetings to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
We hope that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed will have an opportunity to visit our country again this year, Brnabic said.
She emphasized that she was honoured to present, on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, one of the awards in the field of education, which is presented at the forum in Abu Dhabi.
Brnabic also said that she will have a large number of meetings with representatives of universities and prospective investors during the day, primarily in the field of infrastructure development.
Brnabic singled out as one of the most significant a meeting with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, which is the first and only university in the world that specialises exclusively in the field of artificial intelligence.
Serbia is the 26th country in the world to adopt an artificial intelligence development strategy and the first in Central and Eastern Europe to have such a strategic document, and we have already earmarked significant resources for investment in this area, the Prime Minister underlined and added that this will be one more field of cooperation with the UAE.
