Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar signed today with his Hungarian counterpart Miklos Kasler an agreement with which it will bring to Serbia investments in at least two hospitals and the construction of a training centre for the prevention and treatment of oncological diseases.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Loncar explained after the meeting in Budapest that the signed document will allow Serbia and Hungary to access EU funds.
He said that during the talks in Budapest, a joint appearance was agreed on the conduct of the screening and prevention of malignancies.
Loncar added that there were also talks about cooperation in crisis situations, in case of a shortage of medicines, cytostatics or vaccines, as well as about joint participation in competitions in order to achieve lower prices and security of supply.
Another topic discussed was the cooperation of universities and the exchange of personnel.
Loncar and Kasler confirmed that the cooperation between the two countries, governments and line ministers is at a high level, but that there is room for it to be even better for the benefit of healthcare workers, all citizens and patients.
