Minister of Information and Telecommunications Mihailo Jovanovic announced today the construction of block two of the State Data Centre in Kragujevac, with a capacity of up to 16MW, as well as the procurement of a new supercomputer for the development of artificial intelligence, which will be the largest in Southeast Europe.

At the opening of the conference "Journey to a Smarter Future: Building Smarter and More Sustainable Communities in Serbia", which is being held in Kragujevac, Jovanovic pointed out that this centre is a symbol of Serbian digitisation and e-government and a solid foundation for reaching ambitious goals in the "Leap into the Future - Serbia 2027" plan.
The conference is organised by the Nordic Business Alliance, in association with the Nordic embassies to Serbia, NALED and the Permanent Conference of Cities and Municipalities.
The goal of the conference is to launch a road map of smart cities for Serbia, using the knowledge and experience of the Nordic countries, together with good examples that are applied in cities and municipalities in Serbia.
