Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic participated in the ministerial roundtable at the 27th session of the Commission for Science and Technological Development in Geneva, the topic of which is "The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation in Strengthening the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Poverty Reduction in Times of Multipolar Crises: Effective Delivery of Sustainable, Resilient and Innovative Solutions".

On this occasion, Begovic emphasised that Serbia has consistently shown its commitment to promoting the importance of science both at the national and international levels, recognising it as a key factor in development and progress.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is our footprint that we leave for a better world, she stated and added that the goals of the Agenda will be used to overcome the biggest global challenges, such as poverty, inequality, climate change, pandemics, but also to maintain peace.
The path to achieving these goals is full of obstacles, and in this difficult moment, the true value of scientific knowledge, technology and innovation, which inspire hope for a better future for everyone, is shown, the Minister said.
