Speaking at a ceremony in the "Vasa Carapic" military barracks in Belgrade, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic, Vucic said that they earned the flag with discipline, work, perseverance and love for their homeland.
He emphasised that it is a great honour for him to be able to award the "Cobras" a military flag by presidential decision and that he told Colonel Djosic only one sentence - that the flag must never fall into the hands of the enemy, just like not even an inch of our country of Serbia.
The best and biggest guarantor that this will not happen is your unit and other units of the Serbian Armed Forces, Vucic said and pointed out that today it is not easy to be a member of the army, or a member of the "Cobras".
According to him, it is not easy because our country is in the middle of a geopolitical whirlwind, through no fault of her own. Serbia is pressed more strongly than ever by many who would like to divide her territory, and those who want to blame Serbia for all their mistakes and thus justify themselves in front of someone else.
The president said that in the coming days and weeks, he will fight with all political means to preserve the image and reputation of Serbia, to defend Serbia's interests and to stand up against the most powerful in the world as a small country.
Djosic said that being a member of the "Cobras" unit is a privilege of the chosen ones and that the responsibility of the members of this unit is enormous in the realization of the most important task, which is the security of Serbia and all its citizens.
After 46 years, we have received the greatest of all honours. We are awarded the most sacred military item, the military flag. It reminds us of the oath given to Serbia and from today it will be with us everywhere. By receiving it, we get the status we deserve, and this solemn act becomes a historic day for our detachment, Djosic emphasised.
