Prime Minister Ana Brnabic assessed today in the Serbian parliament that the fact that Pristina is avoiding to implement the Brussels Agreement confirms how well this agreement was negotiated in favour of Serbia and the Serbian people.
My biggest proof is and will always be, that the Brussels Agreement is in the interest of Serbia, the Serbian people and the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija is the fact that Pristina has been avoiding to implement it, Brnabic said in the parliament, where she is answering questions of MPs together with members of the Serbian government.
Pristina would apply the agreement tomorrow if it suited her, as it applied all those before, Brnabic pointed out in a response to the question of MP Djordje Vukadinovic.
All of these agreements were implemented without even being signed first. When you recognize the seal of Kosovo's customs, Pristina will, of course, apply the agreement immediately, when you put boundaries and obstacles, Pristina will of course immediately implement it, she said.
Brnabic assessed that neither the EU nor the US can answer easily today why Pristina does not implement the agreements for which the EU guarantees.
The Prime Minister also stated that our country has the highest possible standards when it comes to the respect for the rights and freedoms of national minorities.
Brnabic said that there is not a single reason for the Bosniak national community to be upset when it comes to the respect for their rights in Serbia.
Answering the question of MP Muamer Zukorlic, who expressed concern about the right to use the Bosniak language, the Prime Minister pointed out that the government will continue to work in accordance with all laws regulating this area.
Brnabic stressed that the rights of the Islamic community are protected and that she is proud of how much ethnic, minority and religious rights are respected.
