Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and Director MRO Repair Shop in MTU Aero Engines Rainer Becker signed today a Memorandum of Understanding between that ministry and German company MTU Aero Engines AG which will invest in high technology in Serbia.

Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and Director MRO Repair Shop in MTU Aero Engines Rainer Becker signed today a Memorandum of Understanding between that ministry and German company MTU Aero Engines AG which will invest in high technology in Serbia.
The Memorandum was signed in the Serbian Presidency building in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and member of the Board of Directors of that company Michael Schreyögg.
Vucic pointed out that the arrival of the German company MTU, the leading airplane manufacturer, is a great day for Serbia, as it is the most modern airline company whose products are used by a third of all aircraft in the world.
In the first phase, 450 people should be employed, and later many more, Vucic said and assessed that Serbia is coming back on the sky of European and world aviation industry.
MTU Aero Engines AG is the leading manufacturer of aircraft engines and a global player in that industry. The company was founded in 1934 in Munich, has about 10,000 employees and its annual revenues reach €4.6 billion.
