To increase birth rate, municipalities have four times more money

Minister without Portfolio in charge of Demography and Population Policy Slavica Djukic Dejanovic said today that the funds of RSD 500 million, which the state has allocated to local self-governments for raising birth rates, will be allocated to 61 municipalities.

Djukic Dejanovic, during the visit of Preschool "Our joy" in Subotica, pointed out that 119 municipalities applied for the competition announced at the end of May, with the best projects had 61 local self-governments.
The Minister pointed out that Subotica applied for the reconstruction of the central kitchen in the aforementioned preschool institution, where meals for 55 kindergartens are being prepared on the territory of that municipality.
Subotica received about RSD 30 million for the mentioned reconstruction, as well as for the construction of a children's playground and for the reconstruction of the theater, where performances are performed in Serbian and Hungarian, said Djukic Dejanovic.
