Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Nebojsa Covic and newly appointed Head of the OSCE Mission to Kosovo-Metohija Werner Wnendt agreed during today's meeting that the issues of decentralisation, the return of the expelled and respect for human rights are the most important issues in the province.
Covic and Wnendt met at the Palace of Federation and pointed to the importance of full transparency of the decentralisation process.
Covic said that at the upcoming session of the UN Security Council to be held on May 27, he, on behalf of Serbia-Montenegro, will not be able to support the report of UNMIK chief Soren Jessen-Petersen on the implementation of standards in the province. However, he will communicate the full readiness of Belgrade and Serbia-Montenegro to help the Security Council and the international community in their efforts to improve the highly unsatisfactory situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
