Serbia-Montenegro has been chosen to chair the Danube Commission for the next three years. The decision was made at the commission’s 64th meeting in Budapest, Hungary, yesterday.
Serbia-Montenegrin Resident Representative at the Danube Commission will be the chairman and Hungary’s representative will be the vice-chairman, according to a statement from the Serbia-Montenegrin Embassy in Budapest.
The Danube Commission, one of the oldest international organisations, will mark 150 years since the formation of Europe’s first organisation with the task of establishing the free navigation regime on the Danube.
