President of RIK Vladimir Dimitrijevic said at a press conference held at 10.00 that presidential candidate Sasa Jankovic won 545,039 votes or 16.27%, Luka Maksimovic 316,068 or 9.44% and Vuk Jeremic 189,052 or 5.64% of votes.
Presidential candidate Vojislav Seselj got 149,578 votes or 4.47%, Bosko Obradovic 76,918 votes or 2.% and Sasa Radulovic 47,325 or 1.41% of votes.
Presidential candidate Milan Stamatovic got 40,345 votes or 1.2%, Nenad Canak 38,244 votes or 1.14%, Aleksandar Popovic 34,987 votes or 1.04%, while Miroslav Parovic won 10,651 votes or 0.32%, Dimitrijevic said.
He stated that a total of 3,349,756 citizens cast their vote, which means that the turnout was 54.6%, and there were 55,813 irregular ballot papers, or 1.67%.
RIK received material from 16 districts from Serbia, and the entire election material from all districts should arrive no later than 16.00 today, Dimitrijevic stated and added that results from only 672 polling stations remained unprocessed.
Dimitrijevic said that the election day passed peacefully and in democratic atmosphere, that no irregularities were observed and that so far there have not been objections to the election process.
Polling stations closed last night at 20.00, and the presidential election in Serbia was monitored by a total of 1,955 local observers from four associations and 126 foreign observers from 25 organisations, election commissions and embassies.
