Deputy Director Milan Ivanovic, of the hospital in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, told the Tanjug news agency that Milenko Vulic (62), from the village of Devet Jugovica near Pristina, was admitted to hospital after being beaten in an attack by ethnic Albanians on Saturday, May 7.
Ivanovic said that Vulic was brutally beaten by four ethnic Albanian neighbours in front of his house. He was admitted to the hospital with serious head injuries, and stated that those responsible for the attack told him that he must leave Kosovo.
Ivanovic said that following initial treatment of injuries a neurologist was consulted, after which Vulic was placed in the Intensive Care Unit for further observation and recovery. He added that Vulic’s injuries were serious and that it remains to be seen if there will be any complications, as he was not transferred to the hospital immediately.
