Military parade held on occasion of Victory Day in Zrenjanin

In the presence of the highest state and military officials, as well as numerous citizens, a military parade was held today in the city of Zrenjanin, on the occasion of the Day of the Serbian Army and the Day of Victory over Fascism, which was attended by about 1,300 soldiers and more 40 combat vehicles.

The ceremony was attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, Serbian Army Chief of Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, Minister of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and other members of the government, as well as mayors and presidents of many municipalities in the territory of Banat.
The ceremony included the honorary artillery fire, after which members of the parachute regiment performed a jump from a helicopter from a height of 1,500 metres, carrying the flag of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Army and their unit, followed by a ceremonial welcome of the flag and address by General Dikovic and President Tomislav Nikolic.
