Vucic told the large number of citizens and miners who were waiting for him in the plant “Flotation” in this town in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, that only a strong Serbia can protect its interests in Kosovo.
This can be achieved only if we have friends in Brussels, in Berlin and in Moscow, the Prime Minister underlined and added that things should be resolved by political means and not by sudden actions.
Vucic reiterated that Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija are part of the same state of Serbia and that they will not be treated differently.
We will do everything to make your life here as good as possible, he said, adding that it is in the interest of Serbia to preserve jobs in Trepca and that Serbia will insist on this in the Brussels talks.
The Prime Minister continued his visit to Kosovo-Metohija by a tour of the Banjska monastery, where he expressed gratitude to the Diocese of Raska and Prizren, to the clergy of the monastery and the municipality of Zvecan for having started to renovate one of the most beautiful Orthodox churches, which King Stefan Milutin chose as his resting place.
Vucic told reporters that he wants to speak with Pristina about property in Kosovo-Metohija, but he underlined that no one apart from Serbia has ever invested in this province.
He voiced hope that Pristina will fulfil its obligations it had assumed by signing the Brussels agreement, especially those related to the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities.
The Prime Minister attended in the Clinical Centre of Kosovska Mitrovica the opening of a new oncology department.
He underlined that this health care institution is one of the most important institutions of the Serbian people in the entire Kosovo-Metohija, and promised that it will be one of the most advanced and best equipped clinical centres, with the leading health professions from Serbia.
