Serbian MPs elected late today the former Secretary of State of the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic as the new Minister of Defence.

165 MPs voted for Djordjevic, eight were against and the voting was done by roll call.
After the voting, Djordjevic was sworn-in.
He has been elected to that position instead of Bratislav Gasic, who was relieved of office by the parliament on 5 February, at the proposal of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
