Hutchinson car parts plant in Ruma opens

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended today the opening of a Hutchinson car parts plant, which will hire 200 people.
Convincing Hutchinson to come to Serbia was no easy task as they had also been considering Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey, he said.
I am happy that you have chosen Serbia because Serbia is the best place for investments, he said.
Vucic called on local authorities in this part of Serbia to compete in attracting investors, since Srem region can get more investments.
He said that the government invested €1.9 million of incentives while the local government gave the land and access roads, and stressed that it is the job of the authorities.
The Prime Minister recalled that Ruma from January 2014 to the end of 2015 reduced the number of unemployed registered with the National Employment Service by 1,375, which is a great success for that municipality.
The Ruma plant will manufacture radiator hoses for carmakers such as Mercedes-Benz, Fiat, Suzuki and Renault.
