First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic stated today on the occasion of desecration of the Temple of Christ the Saviour in Pristina in the presence of the Kosovo police during Christmas, that this is another sad proof that Serbia was right when it was against the admission of the so-called Kosovo to UNESCO.
Dacic said in a statement for the press that the Kosovo Albanians are not only incapable of protecting Serbian religious and cultural heritage, but they are destroying it systemically without any punishment for the perpetrators.
This is not only incompatible with UNESCO principles, but deserves condemnation of all international factors, he underlined.
According to Dacic, Kosovo is the only place in Europe where even today it is possible to destroy, burn and desecrate Christian temples without a single word of condemnation and punishment from the international community.
On the contrary, the majority of European countries awarded them by voting for Kosovo’s admission to UNESCO. The silence of the international community in case of Kosovo obviously means approval, the First Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
