First, they decided it is necessary to continue a technical dialogue through task forces on open issues of relevance for the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija, such as the problem of the missing, return of refugees and expellees, as well as the issues of energy and traffic.
Next, the authorities in Belgrade have called on UNMIK to accept participation of Serbian representatives in the task force in charge of decentralisation of powers in the province.
Finally, Belgrade authorities think that it is of utmost importance to start talks between Pristina and Belgrade. Serbian President Boris Tadic has recently invited Ibrahim Rugova, the leader of Kosovo Albanians, for talks.
At the meeting it was agreed that whether Serbs will join the province’s interim institutions of self-government, those being the government and the parliament, will depend on the progress related to the solving of the aforementioned issues, primarily the decentralisation of powers.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Serbian List from Kosovo-Metohija, who presented their view of the current situation in the province.
