Presenting the 2016 budget bill before the Serbian Parliament, Vucic said that next year Serbia will record a GDP growth of 2%, which would then exceed 3% and 3.5%.
If we adhere to this plan, our country is on an extraordinary path and it will not have crises for a long time, the Prime Minister said.
This means faster employment, higher wages and pensions. Serbia has signed an agreement with the IMF, in which it committed itself not to increase wages and pensions for three years, but after only one year it managed to increase wages, he stated.
Vucic reiterated that the Serbian government is pulling the country out of recession, and that this year a 0.9% growth will be recorded, or even 1%.
For the first time in 43 years, Serbia did not make a budget revision this year, meaning it did not have fewer revenues and higher expenses than originally planned, the Prime Minister said and stressed that this is a great success.
He said that he could not promise for sure that there will be no revisions next year, but that the government will do everything in its power to prevent it.
The budget for the next year envisages funds for the previous large foreign investments, such as funds needed for Air Serbia and Fiat, but also for new investments that will create a large number of jobs.
Vucic announced that thanks to these investments, which are financially supported by the Serbian government, a factory will be opened in Sabac next year that will employ 1,700 people, two factories in Novi Sad will employ 3,500, while 400 workers will be employed in Vladicin Han.
According to Vucic, the financial plan of the state for 2016 is well prepared, well balanced and a bit conservative, but the final results will be better than planned.
The deficit, he said, will not exceed 80 billion, which is approximately three times less than the limit set by the International Monetary Fund.
Serbia will enter 2016 with good news, the negotiation chapters in EU accession talks will be opened, Vucic said and stressed that we will have to work better and harder in order to live in a better arranged and a more decent country.
He confirmed that our country last night received confirmation from Washington that Air Serbia can have flights to the United States.
This decision is good news because it means that Serbian aircraft will start flying to the United States after 30 years, which says enough about how important this decision is at a time when terrorism is seriously eroding the system of the modern world.
According to Vucic, this decision represents a serious recognition for our country when it comes to safety, but also the recognition to the best company in the region - Air Serbia, as well as to the Belgrade airport "Nikola Tesla".
Vucic noted that no country in the wider region, including Greece, has direct flights to the United States.
