Harsh condemnation of assault on Serb boy in northern Kosovska Mitrovica

Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric strongly condemned last night's knife attack on seventeen-year-old Serb boy at Peace Park in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

The statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said that it was with disbelief and outrage that Djuric learned the news of the incident that occurred last night around 18.00 in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, when the seventeen-year-old N.S. was stabbed in the chest.
The Serb minor was attacked by Albanian kids of the same age, near the bridge over the Ibar River in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, who came from the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, and fled after the attack.
The crime that was committed based on nationality, on the eve of the biggest Christian holiday, Easter, by which the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija receive the messages that resemble bad, not so distant times, Djuric said.
Djuric said that the assault on the underage boy upset all residents of northern Kosovska Mitrovica and all those who are making great efforts to secure peace, tolerance and safe life for all citizens in the Serbian southern province.
