Joksimovic told the Tanjug news agency that this fact cannot be diminished even by the adoption of amendments of Croatian MPs, and that the resolution is very balanced.
It contains recommendations for opening negotiation chapters this year, and EP supports Serbia in its efforts to improve the process of European integration through reforms.
European MPs voted at a plenary session in Strasbourg for the resolution on Serbia’s progress, based on a proposal by rapporteur David McAllister.
European MPs adopted three out of seven proposed amendments to the amended version of McAllistar’s report from last month.
In the resolution, Serbia is commended for progress in reforms, development of good neighbourly relations and dialogue with Pristina, and the European Council is urged to open negotiation chapters soon.
