Husband and wife brutally beaten in Kosovo

Husband and wife Nedeljko (81) and Nevenka Vucic from Crkolez near Srbica were brutally beaten by a group of unknown individuals in front of their house at 7 am this morning, receiving heavy bodily injuries in the attack.
Physician Aleksandar Bozovic, who attended the patients at a hospital in northern Kosovska Mitrovica where they were brought at 11 am, said that they were hit by a blunt object and that they are in critical condition.
Head of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric said that the government has most severely condemned the beating of the Vucics, and added that the Serbian government has called on UNMIK representatives to protect the Serb population in Kosovo-Metohija and to find the perpetrators of this cowardly and disgraceful act.
Djuric said that this case is yet another example of the poor living conditions facing Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.
