MPs also elected six deputy speakers, two of whom are from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), and one each from the Democratic Party (DS), New Democratic Party (NDS), Social Democratic Party of Serbia (SDPS) and the Party of the United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS).
The deputy speakers from the SNS are Veroljub Arsic and Igor Becic, from DS Gordana Comic, from NDS Ninoslav Stojadinovic, from SDPS Vladimir Marinkovic and from PUPS Konstantin Arsenovic.
213 MPs voted for them, while two were abstained.
Jana Ljubicic, who has been Secretary-General of the parliament so far, was re-elected to the same position.
Serbian parliament established four committees today: the Committee on Constitutional Affairs and Legislation, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on the Judiciary, and the Administration Committee, by which today’s session of parliament was ended.
