Director of the Statistics Office Dragan Vukmirovic said that 3,573,847 voters , or 53.12%, cast ballots.
He explained that according to official preliminary results, SNS won 1,727,444 votes, or 158 seats.
Vukmirovic said that the SPS-PUPS-JS won 482,710 votes or 13.51%, or 44 seats.
The Democrat Party (DS) won 215,923 votes, or 6%, followed by the New Democratic Party (NDS) won a total of 203,916 votes, or 5.7%.
Based on these results, the DS will have 19 seats and NDS 18.
Three minority parties will enter the parliament: the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, having won 75,248 votes or 6 seats , the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak 34,015 or three seats, while the Democratic Action Party won 24,274 votes or two seats.
Below the census were the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) , with 4.24% of the vote, Dveri with 3,57%, the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), which won 3.55%, and the United Regions of Serbia (URS) , which gained support by 3% of the electorate.
Final election results will be announced within the statutory deadline, by 20 March.
