Minister without portfolio responsible for Kosovo- Metohija Aleksandar Vulin stated today that as of 8 January no vehicle insurance will be charged for the cars crossing the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija, as only the things that were agreed during the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue can be implemented and nothing else.
Vulin told the Tanjug news agency that he has had an intensive communication with representatives of Serbs from northern Kosovo-Metohija over this matter, their elected mayors and EU representatives.
Even if an agreement is reached regarding this issue, it will be discussed first of all with representatives of Serbs from northern Kosovo-Metohija and EU representatives, he underlined.
The distribution of the unsigned leaflets is not allowed at administrative crossings, and that is why Belgrade voiced a strong protest to EULEX officials, as they have to guarantee that everything that is happening at the administrative line is in accordance with the Brussels agreement, the Minister stated.
Vulin urged citizens in northern Kosovo-Metohija not to pay attention to contentious leaflets which have been handed out since this morning at the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings and which announce that cross-border insurance will be charged as of 8 January, and reiterated that no such thing will happen.
