Speaking at a gathering at Sumadija Square in Kosovska Mitrovica, Dacic stated that Serbia must defend itself only with strong political connections and smart decisions.
Going to the polls is necessary because that is the only way for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija to have an authority which is not recognised only by Belgrade, but by Pristina too, and most importantly, by the international community, the Prime Minister said and called on citizens in the north of Kosovo-Metohija to cast their vote so that they could continue to have a strong cooperation and connection with Belgrade.
Serbia is still in Kosovo-Metohija and will not leave. I want to wish happiness to the Serbian cause, to the Serbian interest in Kosovo and our unity. There are many political parties, but there is only one Serbia and it has only one interest, Dacic underlined.
He reiterated that Serbia will never abandon citizens of Kosovska Mitrovica, but that they must not abandon Serbia either and not repeat historical mistakes that lead to the migrations of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija.
Today it is clear that you would not be able to defend this cause and we would not be here if there were not for Serbia. If there were not for Serbia, this would not be a territory in which we have four big and important Serbian municipalities, the Serbian Prime Minister underlined.
He recalled that he was in Kosovska Mitrovica when the bridge on the Ibar river was being defended, when the independence of Kosovo-Metohija was proclaimed, and that from here he sent messages numerous times that Serbia will never forget this part of its territory and has no right to do so.
Serbia will never abandon and forget the north of Kosovo-Metohija, Dacic concluded.
The closing convention of the Civil Initiative "Srpska"
