Vulin said at a press conference at the Palace of Serbia that the OSCE has a dominant role in Kosovo-Metohija and that Serbia is waiting for a reaction from this organisation, adding that representatives of Serbia are in constant contact with OSCE representatives.
He stated that the citizens of Serbia who have triggered riots and prevented the holding of the local elections in Kosovo will respond according to the law as soon as enough evidence is gathered.
According to him, the Serbian authorities are collecting information on that and the epilogue will comply with the law, by making everyone who broke the law answer for it.
Noting that the boycott of the local elections failed, Vulin said that in Leposavic and Zubin Potok 22% of voters cast their votes by 17.00 and in Zvecan more than 12% .
Rejecting the claims of the supporters of the boycott that it was successful , the Minister pointed out that all Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija cannot be identified with one polling station in northern Kosovska Mitrovica , especially when it is known what happened there.
Vulin said that it was amazing to see so much hatred and violence against one’s own people, and pointed out that nowhere in the world would so many people go to the polls in such circumstances.
He also underlined that it was for the first time since 1999 that an incident occurred in the north of Kosovo and that no one in the world has accused Serbia of that.
