The Serbian government warns that the authorities in Pristina are conducting a mass manipulation of electoral polls and denying tens of thousands of internally displaced persons the right to participate in the local elections.
The alarming manipulation of voters’ registers by the Kosovo provisional government is also reflected in the fact that there are more voters registered than actual inhabitants in the province.
The failure to comply with the Brussels agreement is reflected in the prolonged obstruction of the election of the member of the Central Election Commission, as well as in the refusal to elect a deputy general secretary of the Election Commission of Serbian nationality.
By persistent violation of the principle of status neutrality of election materials and bans to officials and members of the Serbian government to visit Kosovo-Metohija, the provisional authorities in the province directly obstruct the implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels and challenge the regularity and the holding of the local elections.
By threatening to arrest and prosecute members of the Serbian government, Pristina's interim government is in the function of the opponent of the Brussels treaty and local elections.
At the same time, they organise the direct participation of the prime ministers of Turkey and Albania in the election campaign of Kosovo Albanian parties.
The Serbian government warns the EU that with such behaviour Pristina creates high security risks, intimidates Kosovo Serbs and works directly against the stabilisation of the situation.
