Dacic stressed that Serbia insists on a full implementation of the Brussels agreement, and on holding the local elections in Kosovo-Metohija under fair conditions, given that they are in the function of stabilisation of the situation.
The Prime Minister stated that the interim authorities in Kosovo-Metohija directly harm with their actions the holding of the local elections in the province and thereby the implementation of the Brussels agreement.
He warned that Pristina authorities try to limit visits of Serbian government officials only to religious facilities in the southern province, while at the same time organising a direct participation of the prime ministers of Turkey and Albania in the election campaign.
The Prime Minister highlighted that it is unacceptable that Pristina authorities avoid to implement the Brussels agreement by denying the voting right to thousands of Serbian citizens, while at the same time putting into the voters’ register thousands of non-existent Albanian voters, thus violating directly agreements reached in Brussels and harming the regularity of the local elections.
The Serbian government decided today to request from the EU to immediately prevent irregularities in the preparation of the local elections in Kosovo-Metohija and enable a full implementation of the Brussels agreement, Dacic underlined.
