Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, extended Easter greetings today to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, the clergy and monastic community, as well as to all Christian believers who celebrate this holiday according to the Julian calendar.
“I wish all believers celebrating Easter that the greatest Christian holiday may bring peace to their homes, joy to their families and the strength to look to the future with faith and hope. Easter is a celebration of the triumph of life, light and goodness, but also a time when we are reminded of how love, forgiveness and unity form the foundations of our society.
During the holiday, we especially turn to one another, preserving family, tradition and the spiritual values that have sustained our people for centuries. May the Easter message of hope and renewal inspire us to continue building Serbia as a country of harmony, dignity and progress.
I am confident that, relying on faith, hard work and mutual understanding, we will continue to strengthen our homeland and create a better future for the generations to come.
Christ is risen!”, the Prime Minister’s message reads.
