Government condemns this morning’s incident in Kosovska Mitrovica

The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija condemned in the harshest terms this morning’s incident in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and requested that those responsible be found and brought to justice.

A strong explosion that occurred today little before 4 am in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica did not produce any casualties, but caused a big material damage.
The explosive device was placed on the window of an apartment on the ground floor at one of the buildings in the centre of the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
According to a statement by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, the Serbian government is making utmost efforts to normalise relations in the southern province, which is the only way that can lead to the establishment of trust among neighbours, all inhabitants of Kosovo-Metohija, regardless of their nationality.
We request from the authorities to find the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to justice. Only in that way can Serbs and Albanians establish trust in justice and in the fact that a peaceful and safe life in the province is possible and necessary, it is added in the statement.
