Speaking for the morning news of the Radio Television of Serbia, Mihajlovic said that it is up to Brussels, the EU and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton to decide how the crisis in the Brussels negotiations will be overcome and that Serbia will make concrete moves towards the EU today.
He pointed out that local elections in Kosovo-Metohija scheduled for 3 November are part of the Brussels agreement, that they should be crowned with the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities that would protect the interests of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, and that it is obvious that Pristina's interim authorities are taking steps that are against the interests of the survival of the Serbs in the province.
The Director of the Office of Media Relations specified that the arrival of Prime Minister Ivica Dacic to Kosovo was supposed to be of symbolical nature and his aim was to motivate Serbs to vote in local elections and he wanted to explain to them why these elections are important for the survival of the Serbian community.
If Pristina is against this move, then that means that Pristina is against the Brussels agreement, Mihajlovic highlighted.
Commenting on the registration of IDPs ahead of local elections in Kosovo-Metohija, Mihajlovic said that the problem has been resolved and that there are 38,000 people registered who will be able to vote.
Mihajlovic underlined that the Serbian government has an equal treatment for all Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and that it has one motive, and that is to help the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija live in better conditions than up until now.
